Why a 'One Word' and not a resolution? For the past five years, I have greatly appreciated the process that choosing a one word requires. It is all about reflecting on the past year, with all its joys and challenges, and intentionally deciding how I want to spend my time and energy going forward. My One Word is 'enthusiasm' because I know that when I am at my best, it is because I have a vision or cause that I am passionate about. My one word is to remind me that life is short, and that I can and should focus on the things that matter, and in ways I can truly make a difference. Making a difference, to me, always requires a dedicated mindset, clarity, and great enthusiasm! I especially like the use of the word 'enthusiasm' in the following quotes:
I would just make a slight edit to the last quote (author unknown) and change 'day' to 'year!'
I'm excited about the new year and the possibilities it holds. I usually find a new journal each year to go along with my one word. This year, I will document my daily reflections in this journal I found on Amazon.
If you are interested in choosing a 'One Word,' but are not sure how to begin the reflective process, I suggest taking a look at this blog post from oneWord365.com.
Good luck and Happy New Year!
Thanks for visiting the blog today.
Best,
Jennifer
